christine
finnan (pre-service teacher
education task force) is an associate dean in the school
of education at the college of charleston and an associate professor
in the elementary and early childhood department. in addition to
these duties, she directs the south carolina/georgia accelerated
schools center located at the college of charleston. she has also
served as director of the college of charleston's center of excellence
in accelerating learning. dr. finnan received a b.a. in folklore
from university of california, berkeley, an m. a. in anthropology
and folklore from university of texas, austin, and a ph.d. in education
from stanford university.
