| fmu center of excellence directory frances c. legette (action research project) is in her 30th year of teaching. she earned undergraduate degrees in early childhood and elementary education from coker college and a master’s degree in elementary education from francis marion university. she presently teaches self-contained fourth graders at marion intermediate school in marion school district one. legette has been selected as teacher of the year at two schools, was chosen as wal-mart teacher of the year in 2005, and selected for who's who among america's teachers in 2003 and in 2005.
