individual biographies

jackson f. lee, jr. (pre-service teacher education task force, in-service teacher education task force) is associate dean of education, phillip n. truluck professor of public policy (education), and professor of education at francis marion university. dr. lee received both his b.s. in science education and his ed.d. in curriculum and instruction in biology from duke university. he recently returned to francis marion university after a 10-year leave of absence during which he served as director of the pee dee math/science hub. dr. lee taught life science and earth and physical sciences in durham, north carolina before coming to francis marion university in 1972 as an associate professor of education. for six years he directed the south carolina elementary science leadership program at francis marion university.
