hess (clinical faculty 2005, 2006,

teacher education task force) is a 1st and 2nd grade
teacher for marion school district one, teaching children who are
diverse in ability and ethnicity. she earned her masters degree
in early childhood education from the university of south carolina.
after completion of her masters, ms. hess returned to her hometown
of marion, south carolina to begin her teaching career. in 2002
she was named distinguished reading teacher for easterling primary
school and for marion school district one.
