| fmu center of excellence directory sharon thames (clinical faculty) received a b.s. degree from winthrop college and a m.ed. degree from francis marion university. she also holds an administration certification from usc. thames has served as a special education teacher, a kindergarten teacher, and as curriculum coordinator, and much of her professional experience has been in pee dee region schools that serve children of poverty. she presently serves as a south carolina reading first literacy coach.
