3. management plan
the project’s
management plan is designed to ensure all project objectives are
met in a timely fashion and within budget. the center director and
advisory committee have chosen to use a continuous improvement model
to guide the management function. the advisory committee will ensure
that a diversity of perspectives are heard and the use of feedback
will be productive.
the project has clear objectives and activities that are designed
to insure that objectives are met. the selection of dr. lorin anderson
as the primary consultant, positions the project to have the attention
of one of the nation’s leading experts in the use of bloom’s
taxonomy. teacher participants will also benefit the support and
coaching that will be provided by the faculty consultants.
the project
will be guided by the original list of objectives and activities
found in the table appearing on page 5 of the proposal narrative.
job descriptions, appearing on page 15, clearly specify responsibilities
relative to the leadership of the project. the curriculum development
strategies appear as a table on pages 9 and 10 and outline key steps
that need to be taken to accomplish the major project objectives.
an evaluation plan appears on pages 11 and 12 and clearly outlines
how the project will be evaluated.
the advisory
committee will consult with the center director on program development
milestones. advisory committee members represent the perspectives
of all partner organizations. committee members will meet quarterly
with the center director to review evaluation data and receive project
updates. they will provide ongoing feedback to project. the advisory
committee includes the dean of the fmu school of education, two
fmu faculty members (one from education and one from the liberal
arts), the executive director of the center of excellence, a district
superintendent, a school principal, two teachers, and a grant-writing
consultant.
