4. dissemination
upon completion
of field testing and final revisions, the units will be prepared
for printing and distribution. the original group of 24 teacher
participants will be the first to receive notebooks containing printed
copies of the final curriculum products. each of the teacher participants
will receive a computer disc with a power point presentation to
support peer mentoring and sharing at their home-based school. to
accommodate teachers at other partner schools, the center staff
will plan and deliver in-service offerings to assist with the “roll-out”
of the newly created units.
a quantity of
printed curriculum units and units on compact discs will be made
available to the south carolina department of education along with
the power point presentation for statewide dissemination. the center
will provide technical assistance, when requested, to department
of education personnel wishing to learn how to implement the units
at public and private schools.
some of the
consultant faculty will submit articles about the project for publication.
the center director will be available to make presentations relative
to the project at regional and national conferences. all media announcements,
public information, and promotional materials pertaining to these
funded activities will acknowledge support of the south carolina
commission on higher education under the auspices of the federal
improving teacher quality higher education grant program.
