Grant Proposal Narrative

2. Proposal Narrative

f. Center Staffing

The administration of the Center will be the responsibility of two co-directors, one from the School of Education and one from the College of Liberal Arts. Dr. Tammy Pawloski, Professor of Education, received her Ph.D. in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina. Dr. Bill Whitmire, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, received his Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from the University of Georgia. Their CVs are included in Appendix A.

Three clinical faculty members (see Section C, Goal 1) will be affiliated with the Center. They will meet with the co-directors on a monthly basis, providing the insights and perspectives of the practicing teacher.

There will be three part-time Center staff members: the Coordinator of Research and Professional Development Services, the School-Parent-Community (SPC) Liaison, and the Grant Writer/Evaluator. Job descriptions for each of these positions will be written immediately after notification of Center funding has been received. The position of Coordinator of Research and Professional Development will be held by Dr. Lorin Anderson, a nationally-recognized educational researcher.
