  • ACT – The Condition of College Readiness 2009

ACT has been collecting and reporting data on student’s academic readiness for college since 1959. The facts on this website are focused on the number and percentage of students meeting or exceeding the ACT College Readiness Benchmark, which is the minimum score needed on an ACT subject-area test to indicate a 50% chance of obtaining a B or higher or about a 75% chance of obtaining a C or higher in the first-year credit-bearing college course. The ACT test scores and the ACT College Readiness Benchmarks are used to provide a snapshot of college readiness of graduating seniors of the class of 2009 who took the ACT in high school.

For the full statistics presented in the ACT Report, The Condition of College Readiness go to www.act.org/news/data.html
