"First Annual Academic Expo"

• Featured everyone in the school from 5K and 5th grade
• The theme was "One Village"
• The program had a map that began in the parking lot and went through the school
• Each grade level had something they featured, all of which were tied to standards
• The teachers said they were able to speak to parents they hadn't been able to get to come in all year

"TEAMS"

• Took a look at the statistics for students having assests
  • Realized that in order to serve our children, we must first reach out to our parents
• Teachers and parents were both invited to a meeting discussing this
• There was a speaker
• Meeting lasted 4 days
• Parents and teachers worked together to learn how to be assets for the children
