While schools in most communities are closed, some are already turning their attention to an eventual reopening. This article details five strategies to help students catch up and readjust after prolonged closures, including extending the school year, offering access to tutoring, “looping” teachers in elementary grades, and expanding or maintaining resources for students with special needs.
