Harvard professor Stephanie Jones has developed more than 40 social and emotional learning “kernels” — short, fast activities that allow teachers to easily deliver SEL lessons at any time. Jones says she is working with teachers to help refine the kernels, one of which is “belly breathing” to help students cope with stress and anxiety.
