A Virginia elementary school’s teachers are boarding the Words on Wheels bus to visit neighborhoods this summer to help boost the literacy and language skills of English-language learners. The volunteer effort aims to expose students in English and give parents ideas for improving students’ literacy, instructional coach Christi Dojack says.
