Students are living through a rapidly evolving, historical moment, according to Lauren Brown, an eighth-grade US history teacher. In this article, Brown suggests teachers encourage students to write in a journal or record videos about what they are thinking and feeling during this public health emergency — reinforcing to students that their work will serve as “primary sources” about the pandemic.
