A school district in West Virginia is using the Adverse Childhood Experience Questionnaire as a training tool to help educators learn to identify and address childhood trauma. A district in Ohio piloted a program for middle-school students — now being expanded to other grades — in which students were able to discuss issues and learn positive coping techniques.
