Teachers and administrators at a Colorado middle school worked together to design a flexible school model aimed at boosting student achievement, engagement and equity, according to Marcella Garcia, the school’s principal. Garcia shares five pillars of the school’s new design, including flexible instructional time and more emphasis on student music programs.
