Gewertz, C. (2019, February 05). Students From Educated Families More Likely to Take Dual-Credit Courses. Retrieved March 13, 2019.

A study based on 2009 data from the US Department of Education shows that 34% of all high-school students take dual-credit courses, but students with parents who hold at least a bachelor’s degree are more likely to take such courses. The data also show that fewer Latino and black students enrolled in such courses in the time period, compared with their white and Asian peers.
