Eighth-graders at their Kansas middle school’s pop-up museum recently presented projects based on the Civil War. The students collectively researched 40 topics — including the Gettysburg Address, the Emancipation Proclamation and women’s participation on the Union and Confederate sides — and some dressed in period clothing as they presented information and artifacts.
