A federal waiver expands free meal service for students during the coronavirus pandemic, and school nutrition professionals across the US are working to ensure families have access to the meals. Districts have been delivering meals and offering contactless grab-and-go options, often for multiple days at one time, which many families have particularly appreciated, said Stephanie Conde, director of school operations for the Arts in Community Charter Schools in East Los Angeles.
