Children whose parents had at least four adverse childhood experiences had increased odds of developing hyperactivity, emotional regulation problems and other behavioral issues, compared with those whose parents didn’t have ACEs, researchers reported in Pediatrics. The findings also showed that maternal ACEs were more strongly linked to pediatric behavior problems than paternal ACEs.
