Curriculum focuses on achievement through social-emotional learning. Schools nationwide are implementing a social-emotional curriculum called the Harmony Project in preschool and elementary classes to improve students’ classroom behavior and interactions with peers. Teachers and researchers in this article say the lessons, such as reading and relating to stories that focus on experiencing and handling emotions, improve student achievement by improving classroom culture.
