The Center of Excellence Research Consortium (COERC) is convened annually to facilitate collaboration among research scholars, school district leaders, and practitioners interested in studying children of poverty and best educational practices for high poverty schools. The 2018 Consortium will be held in Columbia, SC, and will feature Jason T. Downer, a senior research scientist at the University of Virginia’s Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning in Charlottesville. Read more about Dr. Downer’s work here.
