*Postponed* Higher Education Collaboration Meeting March 31, 2020
March 31, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm EDT

The Center of Excellence to Prepare Teachers of Children at Francis Marion University has worked since 2004 to support the needs of teachers across the state who are in search of high-impact practices for under-resourced learners that are grounded in the science of learning. A series of standards inform all actions, and the Center currently offers graduate coursework, undergraduate study and collaboration opportunities, and in-service support for schools and districts in the state and across the nation. A robust research agenda is in place to monitor and support Center activities and initiatives. In 2012, South Carolina the State Board of Education unanimously approved the Add-On Certification for Teachers of Children of Poverty.
Annually, the Center at Francis Marion invites representatives from its higher education partners and from its sister SC Centers of Excellence to convene to engage in discussions around practices and programs that support the needs of teachers across South Carolina. The goals of this event are:
- Learn about aligned activities
- Share resources
- Explore the potential of partnerships
All interested representatives of your Colleges or Schools of Education, or of your South Carolina Center of Excellence are invited to participate.
Registration is free, and lunch will be provided for all registered attendees. Register today!
