What is Scholars?

Teaching Children of Poverty Scholars (TCOPS) is a voluntary organization for pre-service and in-service educators wishing to learn more about effective strategies to address the unique needs of children and families from under-resourced environments.  Members participate in regular virtual meetings that focus on one of the 25 Best Practices highlighted by the Center of Excellence to Prepare Teachers of Children of Poverty.  In addition, members also participate in service to the community.
