Engaging Families Through After School Workshops

The Center has partnered with Johns Hopkins University’s National Network of Partnership Schools since 2004, providing leadership and growing family and community engagement activities and programs in Partner Districts, including supports for school-based initiatives focused on cultivating goal-oriented family and community partnerships. Each year, Family and Community Engagement (FACE)-focused outreach projects are funded through a
competitive application process that includes initial support for proposal development along with ongoing support throughout project implementation. The funding process is designed to equip teachers with expanded skills for identifying resources, as well as direct experience with action research in the context of supporting family and community engagement. Registration is now open for the 2025-2026 year-long learning series that will focus on key topics in family and community engagement.
