Student homelessness may be more common—and less visible—than many educators realize. This report examines national and state data on students experiencing homelessness, including where they live and the circumstances that qualify as homelessness under the McKinney-Vento Act. It can help educators better recognize students experiencing housing instability and understand the educational rights and supports available to them.
